Two men from Oldham have been jailed after they were found guilty of possession with intent to supply heroin and cocaine.
Mohammed Bashir was sentenced to seven years in prison while Azhar Iqbal received a sentence of three years and four months after both plead guilty at Minshull Street Crown Court on 30 March.
The two men were travelling in a vehicle which was stopped by Greater Manchester Police (GMP) on 29 September 2015 after a strong smell of cannabis emanated from it.
They were taken to a police station and following a search, a quantity of cocaine, heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis was found along with further drug paraphernalia in their homes.
Detective Constable Michelle Lomax from GMP’s Oldham organised crime team said: “I hope the sentences passed to the men will go some way to showing that we remain as committed and active as ever to taking drugs off our streets”.
