Detective Constable Paul Bailey has allegedly been racially discriminated and victimised at the hands of Greater Manchester Police (GMP).
The final day of employment tribunals were held yesterday, (13/01/15) in Manchester, with an outcome expected sometime next week.
Bailey claims he was discriminated and victimised due to his race on a number of different occasions, having been referred to as a “difficult black man.”
Bailey claims the decision made by GMP to end his secondment to a regional operation also amounted to racial discrimination and victimisation.
His lawyer described it as “shoddy treatment” after he received no “no proper” consultation about his return to GMP.
GMP’s representative said that the treatment of Bailey was not down to issues of race or victimisation.
