Greater Manchester Police (GMP) are investigating a suspected arson attack on Cleggs Lane Service Station, Little Hulton.
Emergency services were alerted to a fire at the petrol station in the early hours of Tuesday 19 April. Officers attended and discovered that accelerant had been poured through the roof and set alight.
GMP have identified a suspect they wish to speak to in connection with the incident who has been described as a man of medium build, about 5ft 7in tall, who was wearing dark tracksuit with the hood pulled up.
Detective Sergeant Zoe Nightingale of Salford Division said: “We are in the early stages of our investigation. Fortunately, no-one was injured but extensive damage was caused to the building.
“We are asking anyone with information or who may have witnessed a man in the area behaving suspiciously to contact the police.”
