Greater Manchester Police (GMP) is appealing for the victim of a bag snatch theft in Royton to come forward.
It was on Wednesday 30 December 2015, at about 2.15pm, that a report was received of a woman – walking along Netherhey Lane in Royton – being the victim of a theft.
It was reported to GMP that a man had snatched the woman’s brown-coloured handbag and jumped into a purple VW Polo.
The victim is described as white, between 50 and 60 years old, around 5ft2in to 5ft5in tall, with a slim build, short brown hair and wearing glasses.
Constable Laura Hodkinson said: “We are keen to trace this victim to ensure that she is safe, uninjured and is able to assist us with our enquiries.
“It is our hope that we can find the person responsible to prevent further victims falling foul of a similar theft, and this victim will potentially be crucial in achieving that.
