Detectives investigating the viscous assault of a 23-year-old man in Oldham have released CCTV images of three males that they wish to speak to, in connection with the attack. The assault took place at around 12.20 am on the 13th of August of this year, outside the Goldstar Takeaway on Yorkshire Street.
The victim was walking along Yorkshire Street when he was approached by the group of fugitives, who launched in to an act of savagery. They repeatedly struck the man around the head and body, inflicting multiple facial fractures and a fractured skull upon the helpless victim before running off.
Detective Constable Andrew Swettenham has stated, “We are very keen to speak to the young men shown in these CCTV images. I realise that this assault happened some time ago, but that will not prevent someone who recognises the men to come forward and inform police about who they are”. He also added “This assault was brutal, unprovoked and only through sheer luck did not result in a more serious outcome given how bad his injuries were. Anyone who recognises these males should contact police as a matter of urgency”.
