As part of its UK expansion plans, Powerhouse Fitness are set to open a new store in Manchester this year.
Powerhouse Fitness have also confirmed that it will be opening stores in North London and Surrey.
The new premise will bring the total number of stores to 12 and provide jobs for the local community. Powerhouse Fitness is the UK division of Sport-Tiedje, Europe’s largest fitness retailer.
Manchester’s new store will be a brand new premise and will be fitted out as a showcase showroom.
The store will incorporate an emphasis on a range of cardiovascular equipment. This emphasis will build on the retailer’s already dominant position in the strength and weights sector.
Other changes include new branding for the new stores and website. In addition to this, the company plan on implementing a new warehouse management system. The system was installed in the Autumn and proved effective over the busy Christmas and January period.
Powerhouse have also appointed an experienced dedicated marketing manager to strengthen the management team.
