Officers investigating the rape of a woman in Fallowfield are appealing for a key witness to come forward. A 19-year-old woman was returning from a night out in Manchester City Centre on the 7th of October, when she was raped sometime between midnight and 4.30am.
During this time she came in to contact with an essential witness who police believe could assist greatly in their investigation. As the woman was making her way home, she spoke with a man who was stood at a bus stop on Wilmslow Road in Fallowfield. The man walked the juvenile victim home down Wilmslow Road in the direction of Sainsbury’s and McDonalds. This individual, who police are hoping to speak to as a witness, is described as an 18-19 year old white man of skinny build with brown messy hair styled in to a quaff. He was wearing black skinny jeans and a black leather jacket, and it is believed that the man could be a student.
