Welterweight prospects Ashley Reece and Adam Proctor will collide in a welterweight bout at ACB 87. The clash will take place at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, England on 19 May.
The welterweights will clash in a fight that many will find tough to call. Whilst Reece is yet to taste defeat during both his amateur and professional career, Proctor has tasted defeat once. However, he is coming into ACB 87 on the back of his biggest win of his career, a submission victory over Nathan Jones.
Reece makes his third appearance under the ACB banner, after wins over James Lewis and Sam Boult at ACB 54 and ACB 70 respectively. “The Beast” has won twelve consecutive fights across his professional and amateur career and looks to improve his ACB record to 3-0.
SBG South Shield’s Proctor makes his ACB debut, following in the footsteps of his coach Alex Enlund. Proctor shares a similarity with Reece, having also defeated Sam Boult. However, his first-round submission of Nathan Jones has been the stand out performance of his career to date.
ACB returns to the UK on 19 May at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham. Manchester’s own Kane Mousah battles Scotland’s Robert Whiteford in a mouth-watering featherweight main event.
ACB 87 is the first major mixed martial arts show to head to Nottingham since September 2012. It marks the fifth time that the MMA supremos have descended upon the United Kingdom.
