Review: Laff Til Ya Fart

Held at the Frog and Bucket Comedy Club, established comedian, Trevor Dwyer Lynch, presents ‘Laff Til Ya Fart’.
The laugh-out-loud show is hosted in an intimate venue – but what the venue lacks in size, the show makes up for in laughter.

Established and emerging comics – including Will-E, Haseeb Malik and Zahra Barri amongst others –performed at the 7 August gig.

A full house gathered at the gig for what turned out to be a truly hilarious evening of – at times – very tongue-in-cheek humour. A receptive crowd is crucial at any comedy gig – after all, an audience is there to be entertained – and that’s exactly what ‘Laff Til Ya Fart’ promises.

Malik and Barri are two acts not to be missed. Barri’s material regarding her Persian background and culture is so wrong that it becomes right. Malik’s anecdotal tales of his cross-cultural relationship as well as the discipline he faced as a child, are laugh-out-loud comedy gold.

The host himself, Trevor Dwyer Lynch, gave the audience exactly what they were after. Renowned as a truly hilarious figure, some members of the audience travelled from far and in between to see his outstanding performance.

Will-E’s contagious energy and charisma stole the show. An act with (as they say) a ‘resting face’, the comedian didn’t even have to speak to create an infectious laughter amongst the crowd. His anecdote regarding the elderly woman on the train is one not to be missed.

Will-E, also known as Will-E Robo, will be performing his own comedy night on both 11 and 12 November.

The next scheduled event for ‘Laff Til Ya Fart’ is due to take place 2 October. Tickets are available for the reasonable price of £10 online and on the door.
