Road closures for Paddy’s Parade

Some roads between Cheetham Hill and Manchester City Centre will be closed on Sunday 15 March to accommodate the St. Patrick’s Day parade.

In an attempt to cause as little disruption as possible, roads will be closed only as the procession passes and will open up again straight after, rather than closing the whole route all at once.

Road closing times are as follows:

From 10am–1pm

Queens Road (from Smedley Road to Cheetham Hill Road)

From 11:30am–2.30pm

Cheetham Hill Road (from Queens Road to Miller Street), New Bridge Street, Great Ducie Street (from New Bridge Street to Chapel Street), Chapel Street (from Great Ducie Street to Blackfriars Street), Victoria Bridge and Deansgate

From 12noon-4pm

Albert Square, Southmill Street, Lloyd Street, Jacksons Row, Central Street and Mount Street (from Peter Street to Albert Square)

All parking bays along the route will also be closed.

The Parade begins at the Irish World Heritage Centre following a service in Gaelic and ends in Albert Square.
