Stuart Horner, is allegedly the strangeways prisoner who scaled a fence at the Manchester notorious local prison.
Police were called to HMP shortly after 3.30pm on Sunday 13 September to reports a prisoner was on the roof.
Stuart managed to scale the fence but how he managed to get to the roof before being apprehended still remains unclear.
Today marks the second day in Horner’s one man protest, Staff at the prison are working to engage with the prisoner and resolve this situation, but he has remained on the roof overnight.
Police are warning there may be some traffic disruption around HMP Manchester due to temporary road closures.
“Chief Inspector Gareth Parkin of GMP’s north Manchester division said: “We are supporting our colleagues at HMP Manchester Prison to manage this incident safely, and as such we have had to temporarily close a number of roads.
“There may be some traffic disruption in the area, so those travelling past the prison are advised to allow some extra time for their journeys,if possible.”
