Students at Salford City Academy are today celebrating their GCSE results. Several scoring highly against the new measures for English and maths.
This year, English and maths grades were awarded a numeric value with 9 being the new top grade, representing the very best of performance.
Notable individual successes included: Alethea Biesty who achieved a grade 9 in maths and English. I am ecstatic to have achieved a grade nine in both English and Maths”
Malek Abusaid who achieved a grade 8 in maths; A* in Arabic; A in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Freyja Rushworth who achieved a grade 9 in English Language.
Other students gaining strong results were Connie Boardman, Eman Rahman and Ashgan Mahyoub.
