An 83-year-old woman from Moss Side has been the victim of a sexual assault.
Joginder Singh spent several weeks being a friend to the victim when on the morning of Tuesday 3 January he sexually assaulted her in her home.
The victim tried to escape by taking a walk with Singh and her two dogs in Alexandra Park.
Police were called by a friend of the victim at around 1pm. She is receiving specialist care in the wake of her ordeal.
The search is now on for Joginder Singh, also known as Kojac, in connection with the assault.
An image has been released of the 40-year-old – although he is thought to be looking gaunter now – in the hope that someone will recognise him.
They are also urging Singh, who is believed to be homeless, to come forward and hand himself in.
Patrols in the area have been increased as it is thought that Singh is dangerous so if you spot him do not approach but call the police on 0161 856 6078 or Crimestoppers on 0800 55 111.
