A senior police officer has been suspended after reportedly having a row with colleague over who had the most attractive breasts.
Assistant Chief Constable (ACC) Rebekah Sutcliffe, 46, a mother of three from Saddleworth, is said to have argued with Superintendent (Supt) Sarah Jackson and allegedly having bared her breasts during the dispute.
The incident took place in Manchester’s Hilton hotel bar during the three-day Senior Women in Police conference (6-8 May).
Witnesses claim there was a ‘loud disagreement’ over allegations of ‘false chests’, followed by ACC Sutcliffe’s tweet on 8 May saying: “It was a great event and clearly inspired so many people. Really well done.”
This is not the first time one of the country’s top police women has been criticised over her behaviour.
In 2010, she was given ‘suitable advice’ by senior officer after trying to gatecrash a Labour event in a Manchester hotel.
She was also investigated in 2014, when failed to declare a relationship with colleague on a disciplinary panel.
ACC Sutcliffe is now facing sanctions for ‘inappropriate behaviour’, while Supt Jackson faces none.
The circumstances of the fight are still being investigated.
