Following the release of his highly anticipated TESTING album, A$AP Rocky has shared a music video for “Praise the Lord (Da Shine).”
The track features grime MC Skepta, who stars alongside Rocky in the flashy visual sporting his best fits.
The split-screen clip features the two rappers’ lives in New York City and in London, where they go about similar day-to-day activities like partying with their friends and riding bikes around town.
“I came, I saw, I came, I saw/I praise, the Lord, then break, the law/I take, what’s mine, then take, some more/It rains, it pours, it rains, it pours,” Skepta is heard rapping in the hook.
“Praise the Lord (Da Shine)” appears on Rocky’s third studio album, Testing, released on 25 May.
The new video was directed by Dexter Navy, who was nominated for Best Video at the 2016 Grammys for A$AP Rocky’s track ‘L$D’.
After losing out to Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar for ‘Bad Blood,’ Kanye West tweeted his frustration. “I don’t want to just fix the awards for me but I want to fix it for Dexter Navy who directed A$AP Rocky’s LSD video,” he wrote on February 24, 2016.
“Everybody with any form of taste knows that was the best video of the year!” he later added.
Back in December, Skepta released the video for ‘Ghost Ride’ which also featured A$AP Rocky as well as A$AP Nast.
The track was taken from Skepta’s Viscous EP, which also featured guest appearances from Lil B, Section Boyz and closes with ‘Ghost Ride’ featuring the two members of A$AP Mob.
Rocky hinted toward the collaboration back in September 2017, saying: “[I’ve] been working a lot with my boy Skepta, just exchanging energy and vibes in a brotherly way.”
