Police have named a suspect in the shooting of Nipsey Hussle. The 33-year-old rapper died on Sunday 31 March after being shot multiple times while standing outside his south Los Angeles clothing store, Marathon Clothing.
Los Angeles Police Department have now confirmed they are looking for a man named, Eric Holder, in connection with the murder.
In a statement, the LAPD said: ‘On March 31, 2019 around 3:20pm, three male adults were standing in front of a business in a strip mall in the 3400 block of West Slauson Blvd.
‘The suspect walked up to the men and fired numerous shots at them. The victims were struck and fell to the ground.
‘The suspect ran southbound through an adjacent alley to a waiting vehicle. The suspect entered the passenger side and fled the area… The vehicle was driven by an unidentified female.
‘Two victims were transported to local hospitals and one refused medical treatment at the scene.
‘One victim, Ermias Asghedom, known as Nipsey Hussle, died as a result of the gunshot wounds he sustained.
‘Detectives have worked tirelessly and are now asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect in this case. The suspect has been identified as 29-year-old Eric Holder of Los Angeles.’
A vigil for Nipsey, held outside his clothing store, erupted into chaos on the following evening when a stampede resulted in several fans getting injured.
It’s said the crowd panicked after hearing ‘loud noises’. Nipsey is survived by his girlfriend, Lauren London, and two children – daughter Emani and son Kross.
