“Text Neck” Is On The Rise

Dr James Carter warns that children as young as seven are developing hunchback and curvature of the spine. Carter explains that people who spend hours hunched over their phones and laptops are suffering with a condition he referred to as “text neck”.

“Many patients come in complaining they have a headache, but we actually find text neck is the cause of it. They often fail a simple heel-to-toe test and tend to fall over.”

Dr Cater suggests that we avoid using devices while sitting or lying in bed. Raise your screen to eye level and do not remain sedentary all day.
