The Royal Exchange Theatre will be hosting a brand-new production of The Producers, directed by Raz Shaw. Joining Julius D’Silva and Stuart Neal who play the wonderfully bizarre double act Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom, is a formidable cast from MATILDA’s Ms Trunchbull Charles Brunton (Roger De Bris) to Hammed Animashaun, (Carmen Ghia).
Additionally, Dale Meeks (Franz Liebkind), Emily-Mae (Ulla) and an ensemble of 11 multi-talented actors will be adding to this hilarious musical.
This wickedly funny, outrageous love letter to the Broadway musical builds upon the Exchange’s growing reputation for reinventing celebrated musicals for its unique in-the-round theatre.
Raz is joined by Choreographer Alistair David and Musical Supervisor Caroline Humphris. Featuring show-stopping songs such as Springtime for Hitler and When You Got It Flaunt It, the production runs from 30 November 2018 – 26 January 2019.
Theatre Producer Max Bialystock has a string of failures in his wake. But his downtrodden accountant Leo Bloom thinks that could be a good thing, a producer could make more money with a dud than a hit. They set out to find the worst script, the worst director and the worst actors in the industry, produce the biggest flop in Broadway history, and make a heap of cash in the process. What could possibly go wrong?
This award-winning Mel Brooks musical is fit to burst with unruly characters and show-stopping songs such as Springtime for Hitler, I Wanna be a Producer and When You Got It Flaunt It.
