Three people have been charged for sexual assault and child abduction offences after detectives from the Sunrise team carried out an investigation in to the case.
The Sunrise team continues to intervene within the lives of young people who are at risk of being exploited within their local communities, whilst bringing justice to victims.
On the 13th of October a 14-year-old girl was reported as missing as she disappeared from her home address in Rochdale.
After Police enquiries the young girl was found at a different address in Rochdale just a day after she went missing. 20-year-old Irfan Mohammed Fiaz was charged with three counts of sexual activity with a child as well as three counts of child abduction. Relative and 18-year-old Saniyah Fiaz was charged with child abduction and facilitating in the commission of a child sex offence.
A 17-year-old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons has also received the same two charges as Saniyah Fiaz. All three individuals are from the Rochdale area and appeared before Bolton Magistrates Court on the 15th of October, all three have now been remanded.
