‘Thriller Live’ set to harmonise Manchester Opera House

The record breaking West End concert spectacle ‘Thriller Live’ is coming to Manchester Opera House on the 18th of January and will be shown up until the 23rd. The 10-month UK and European tour will include dates in Manchester and will also include new songs, costumes, videos and special effects.

‘Thriller Live’ has been choreographed and directed by award-winning Gary Lloyd but Adrian Grant, a long-term associate of Michael Jackson and the author of ‘Michael Jackson- The Visual Documentary’, originally conceived it.

Whilst announcing the eye-watering figure producer Paul Walden remarked “We are certainly not resting on our laurels- a brand new version of the show, with four new songs, a new opening, new production elements including new video, new costume and special effects has been installed. With all these changes we aim to once again set the bar high in terms of what a West End audience will see, hear and experience”.

Astonishingly, the production has recently exceeded $150m in takings at the global box office and on the 16th of December it became the 17th longest West End musical of all time, which is a true testament to the enduring appeal to of Michael Jackson and his music.
