Tinie Tempah set for first UK show of 2016

‘Tinie Tempah’ has announced that he will play his first UK show of the year at the O2 Academy Brixton on 16 April.

The show presents a rare chance for fans to see him in a more intimate setting, following his most recent London headline date at the O2, during his 2014 ‘Demonstration’ tour. Currently, the rapper is working on new material, which is expected to be released later this year, however he has recently released his independent mixtape ‘Junk Food’ via Disturbing London, which is currently on iTunes.

The 27-year-old soared to prominence in 2010 when his debut single ‘Pass Out’ and his debut album ‘Disc-Overy’ both went straight to No.1. Last year Tinie landed his sixth and seventh No.1’s with ‘Not Letting Go’ featuring Jesse Glynne and alongside Katy B on KDA’s hit track ‘Turn the Music Louder’. His previous chart topping singles include ‘Written in the Stars’ featuring Eric Turner, ‘R.I.P’ with Rita Ora and ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ with Cheryl Cole.

Tinie’s high profile live shows have included the closing ceremony of the Olympics and every live festival from Coachella to Glastonbury, he has also supported the likes of Jay-Z, Usher and Rihanna. So far, he has earned a range of awards for his music, including the Best Song award at the BRIT’s and the Best Newcomer award at the MOBO’s.

Moreover Tinie has also made inroads within the fashion world and his fashion credential were underlined when he was named Best Dressed Man at GQ’s Men of the year Awards, he was also selected as an ambassador for the London Collection Mens.
