The Nubian Times had the pleasure of spending a couple of days with Marriott Man & Van Manchester’s owner and manager Ryan Marriott, as he gave us a window into his growing delivery service.
From commercial to domestic services, the 27-year-old’s rapidly-growing delivery company based in Northenden Manchester, offers a range of transport services including: “Full house removals, single item moves, eBay collections/deliveries, courier contracts and much more”, he confirmed.
The self-funded service which employs 3 people at the moment, has set its ambitions to have 10 employees by the end of 2016. This is primarily because the demand for more manpower is directly proportional to the amount of commercial contracts Ryan is getting.
“I’m currently working with DFS, HomeSense and Sue Ryder, with DFS providing the most business for us at the moment”, Ryan told TNT. With hourly rates, the companies’ contracts with Marriott Man & Van are structured in pattern that is spread across the week; making Ryan has “delivery vans out on the road almost 7 days a week”.
Ryan does however explain that the biggest challenges to his service is “eviction jobs”, citing; “I would go to people’s houses and didn’t know it was an eviction job, because they’ve just asked me to move their items out. I go in there and there is a bailiff watching us move the stuff out. It’s just hard when there are kids there”.
So expect to see Marriott Man & Van’s delivery vans coming past your street as the surge in their growth doesn’t seem short-lived. With deliveries to celebrities and home moves to our local community, Marriott Man & Van is just a call away. You need anything moved, big or small, give them a call.
