With a global total of two billions online users, social media has taken the world by storm within recent years.
Experts have estimated that users between the ages of 15-19 spend, on average, 3 hours every day using different social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
It has also been estimated that some of us can’t even get out of bed without checking our Twitter feeds for the latest news.
If you haven’t already heard this question posed by the older generation, then here it is: is there an aspect of social media that is ironically making it anti-social?
