Tony Mason: Sickle Cell Manchester’s plight

The founder of Sickle Cell Manchester, Tony Mason, came into TNT offices to talk about his organisation, the challenges of living with Sickle Cell and what our government ought to do for sufferers in the UK.

Tony’s organisation works tenaciously at raising awareness of the illness – also known as Sickle Cell Disorder or Sickle Cell Anaemia. Sickle Cell Disorder is an inherited condition that affects the red blood cells and can lead to episodes of severe pain or can damage organs and tissues, and may lead to other serious medical problems.
