A fantastic sister and her mother’s best friend
The family of the victim of a fatal collision in Rochdale have paid tribute to her. After a collision on Monday 14 November around 9.30pm, 18-year-old Talaina Hussain was taken to a local hospital.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) was alerted to the collision of a green Peugeot 206 and a wall on Dewhirst Road, Syke. Talaina was the front seat passenger of the Peugeot and sadly did not recover from her injuries in hospital. She passed away on Wednesday 16 November.
Her family are devastated that such a wonderful young girl has tragically lost her life. They have paid tribute to Talaina, speaking of the kind of person that she was:
“Anybody that knew our daughter would tell you she could light up any room without trying with those big brown eyes.
“She was a fantastic sister and her mother’s best friend”.
The family have also spoken of how they are dealing with the tragedy:
“We are absolutely devastated and time will never heal our broken hearts”.
The police are still dealing with an ongoing investigation into the collision. Police Constable Dermot Murray of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit has released a statement:
“I’m appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who has any information or dashcam footage to get in touch with us”.
The exact circumstances of the incident are yet to be established.
