The family of a man who died in Urmston have paid tribute to him.
Phillip Owen, 42, was found dead with a single stab wound to the neck on Sunday 30 October.
Police were called to an address in Urmston, to reports that the body of a man had been found.
Paying tribute to him, his family said: “He was a good brother and son and always worked really hard at everything he did.
He could make friends in a second and was a really likeable person who lived life to the full”.
Detective Superintendent Jon Chadwick, Head of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: “Our thoughts are with Phillip’s family at this difficult time and specially trained officers are on hand to offer their support.
“The loss of any loved one is heart breaking but for the victim’s family and friends to lose him like this must be unbearable and I would urge anyone with knowledge to get in touch with us”.
