Two men have been charged with assisting an offender following the death of a woman, who was hit by a car.
25-year-old Ludovic Mabiala of Bolton and 27-year-old Nqobile Arnold Mariwandi also of Bolton have been charged with assisting an offender. They were due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Saturday 27 February.
On Tuesday 2 February 23-year-old Tinashe Irvine Chikoto of Atherton was charged with causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of a collision, failing to report a collision, causing death whilst unlicensed, driving a motor vehicle without insurance, driving whilst unfit through drugs and perverting the course of justice. He is set to appear at Bolton Crown Court on Wednesday 2 March.
At 10pm on Sunday 31 January a woman crossed over Bow Street, at the junction of Crown Street, when she fell over. A short time later a bus and two vehicles were captured on CCTV slowing down and driving around her.
There was a short break in traffic before another car, a Ford Focus, collided with her. The car pulled up on Back Bridge Street and the driver abandoned the vehicle before contacting police later that night.
