Cloud technology experts believe the nine to five working day could be obsolete within the next 10 years.
Speaking at a round table event hosted by Manchester cloud and colocation company UKFast on 5 April, the panel of experts concluded that the internet could revolutionise the way we work if used to its full potential.
Adam Caplan, CEO of USP Training said: “People are working from home now more so than ever. There are now call centres with staff working from home. The cloud is making big changes in business.”
Meanwhile Richard Venables, director at RV Group, believes virtual working is already becoming more prominent in many industries.
He said: “We don’t need to see a lawyer at a desk working 9-5 anymore; they can be at home doing the same job just as well, if not better.”
