Greater Manchester Police (GMP) has made an arrest after a man was murdered in Moss Side.
At about 12.10pm on Tuesday 22 March 2016, police were called to Crondall Street in Moss Side to a report that a man had been stabbed.
Emergency services attended and discovered that a man had suffered stab wounds.
He was taken to hospital but he sadly died from his injuries.
Formal identification has not yet taken place and a Home Office post-mortem will take place later today.
Police have launched an investigation and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody for questioning.
Superintendent Dave Pester said: “We have made an arrest, but this is a complex investigation that is still in the early stages.
