A man has been sentenced to five years in prison after indecently assaulting a number of children and owning thousands of indecent images in Ashton-In-Makerfield.
John Breeze, 63, pleaded guilty to 17 counts of indecent images and indecent assaults of children at Liverpool Crown Court on 30 June.
In October 2015, officers from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) issued a warrant to search his home and seized his computer along with other items.
Forensic examination of the electronic storage devices and other related materials revealed thousands of indecent images of children.
Further investigation uncovered that Breeze had indecently assaulted three boys aged 13 to 16 between 1998 and 2000, and taken indecent photos of them.
