Greater Manchester Police is appealing for eye witnesses, after a man has been left with serious injuries when his car collided with a lamppost, in Rusholme.
The incident happened on Saturday 2 January 2016 at about 2.30am. The Vauxhall Corsa was travelling South on Birchfields Road when it collided with a lamppost and a garden wall, near to the junction with Lytham Road.
The driver, a 34-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he is being treated for a serious head injury and broken legs.
Sergeant Paul Higgins of the Serious Investigation Collision Unit said: “I would appeal to anyone who saw this collision to come forward and speak to police, as you may have information that can assist our investigation”.
