A woman has been assaulted in her house in Trafford after armed men broke in, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirm.
Three masked men reportedly forced entry into a home on Claremont Road, Sale around 1.20am on Friday 18 November.
They went upstairs and threatened a woman in her 30s living at the address with a machete and a taser.
After asking for money, the men punched the woman in the face twice and tasered her.
Following this, they disappeared with the victim’s car after stealing the keys from inside.
Detective Inspector Simon Akker, of GMP, described the attack as “terrifying”.
He also said that the woman was left “traumatised” but “fortunately, she has not suffered any serious injuries”.
